The outskirts don't get quite the same quality/timeliness, but I think the powers are working to make it better (which is wonderful). I wish they could make it happen faster though (just like an American - always impatient).G.E.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13429419832660419144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948910318159742024.post-43347487534855099582011-11-25T21:45:34.240-07:002011-11-25T21:45:34.240-07:00Sad but yes, I agree. It's a fascinating cultural observation, I think.G.E.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13429419832660419144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948910318159742024.post-42136207985829738412011-11-09T12:53:07.175-07:002011-11-09T12:53:07.175-07:00Really, the good ol' US of A must be one of th...Really, the good ol' US of A must be one of the few places where losing your car(s) can be so devastating.

This reminds me of a conversation I had several years back. I was seeing a therapist, and I had just started dating this really nice guy...who didn't have a car. I didn't read too much into it (he's kinda quirky; maybe he's really "green") but iris murasakihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12817114299879149771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4948910318159742024.post-11789368881439871322011-11-08T11:41:50.402-07:002011-11-08T11:41:50.402-07:00We gave up the second car because it wouldn't ...We gave up the second car because it wouldn't pass emissions and we couldn't afford to upgrade it or replace it. Before I was married I had a couple of long-term stints being involuntarily carfree (not DUI!), so the decision to go carlite to solve the problem was easy. But I see so many people who think solving car problems with more car is the only thing that makes sense. It IS sad, and Chainringhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07646119297937166114noreply@blogger.com
